"The Halloween Deck" is a poker-sized boxed deck of playing cards with 2 jokers created by award-winning Illustrator, Designer, and Animator Stephen W. Brandt of Richmond, Virginia, USA. This is a limited edition.
The artwork is inspired by imagery, printing practices and iconography from the 1930's through the 1970's. This artwork is a tribute to the way Halloween used to be. The clubs are of a blue tone and the royals are represented with skeletons. The hearts are of a purple tone and the royals are represented with the animals of Halloween - raven, bat, wolf, and owl. The spades are of an orange tone and the royals are represented with jack-o-lanterns. The diamonds are of a jade green and are represented with humanoids, ghost, witch, and vampire. All of the aces include a black cat. The Joker, of course, is the Easter Bunny.
